3 power seems a little much for double strike at 4 CMC, but it is still nice to see Battle Cry on a tough guy like this one. Shame there's only 7 real creatures with Battle Cry

I have a red-white battle cry deck with a lot of equipment, and that way, double strike gets really strong, really fast. A 3/2 first strike or 2/2 double striker can easily be strong enough to make Aster a beast without breaking him with equipment. But still, it's your card.
